Cumberland Valley TrailFest 2026
Cumberland Valley TrailFest is a community festival of trail events held at Shippensburg Station on the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, and proceeds benefit the Cumberland Valley Rails-to-Trails Council for trail maintenance, trail extensions, and the Cumberland Valley Railroad Museum.
Events take place on the paved Cumberland Valley Rail Trail and include running, hiking, and cycling options. Registration for most events includes one complimentary craft beer, craft soda, or wine and a free event t-shirt. There is a guaranteed t-shirt deadline of September 20 and a charity option to donate the shirt allocation to the Keystone Tree Fund.

- 10 mile Fall Down on the Trail Hike from Newville to Shippensburg
- 25 mile out and back Bike Ride along the finished trail
- 1 Mile Fun Run Walk free for kids
Support activities at the festival include a beer garden serving craft beer, cider and wine with individual glasses available for purchase, live music, and food trucks. Transportation from Shippensburg to the Newville trailhead is provided for the hike with advance registration required by September 20.
