Event overview
The 2026 Culpeper Airport 5k takes place on March 28, 2026 at Culpeper Airport in Brandy Station, VA. The race is a chip-timed 5k held on a flat, paved course that uses an airport runway. The event counts toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack series and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is offered for those who cannot attend in person. Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-FIT) event shirt, and electronic timing.
Logistics and services
Registration for the 5k is priced at $30 until March 15 (then $35); price increases on race morning by $5 per distance. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before March 18. Packet pickup is available at the event; race day registration is allowed but shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for late registrants. Water is available at the 5k turnaround (approximately mile 2.0) and at the start/finish; Gatorade may be offered at some stations. Portajohns will be located near the start/finish. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to 1st and 2nd place in standard age groups; overall top-three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards. Live results are posted online and final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Parking is available at the airport; organizers provide a GPS pin for the lot.
