2026 Culpeper Airport 5k
The event is a 5k road race held on March 28 at Culpeper Airport in Brandy Station, VA. Points from the race count toward the Year-Long 5k and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person. The event is chip timed and finishers receive a medal and a technical (drifit) event shirt.
Course, services and logistics
The course is flat and paved on an airport runway. There is one water station on the 5k course at approximately mile 2.0, located at the 5k/10k turnaround point, and water is also available at the start/finish area; Gatorade may be available at some stations. Portajohns will be located near the start/finish. Packet pickup is available at the event, and race day registration is offered; t-shirt sizes are guaranteed only for runners registered before March 18. Parking is available at Culpeper Airport, 12517 Beverly Ford Rd., Brandy Station, VA; a GPS pin is provided by the organizer.
Awards, results and other notes
Top three men and women overall are awarded post-race. Age-group awards are given for first and second place in standard age brackets from 19 & under through 70+. Live race results will be posted online and a QR code will be available at the race for immediate result access. The organizer operates as an all-weather event but may delay or cancel for severe conditions; registered participants will be notified of changes.
