Event Overview
The Carmel Teachers Association Scholarship 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, rain or shine. The primary event is a 5 km run/walk, with a free kids' half-mile run also scheduled.
Location & Course
The event is based at the Paladin Center on Seminary Hill Road in Carmel, NY. Parking is available at this location. The 5K start and finish line is at the Seminary Hill Tunnel on the Putnam County Rail Trail. The course starts at the tunnel, proceeds towards Mahopac, and returns to finish at the same tunnel.
Schedule & Amenities
A registration period will be held at the Paladin Center before the event. The free kids' run will feature medals for all finishers. After the 5K, an awards ceremony will be held at the Paladin Center. Awards will be presented to top runners overall, top Carmel Teachers Association members, and various age groups. T-shirts will be available for the first 300 registrants.
Sponsorship & Purpose
Business sponsorship signs are available, and there will be space for local pop-up vendors in the Paladin Center field. All proceeds from the event will fund scholarships for Carmel High School seniors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
