Crystal Springs Ultra Races
Crystal Springs Ultra Races take place at the Crystal Springs Recreation Area in Wytheville, Virginia. The event uses a loop course that includes sections of the High Rocks Spur Trail and Boundary Trail. Trails are technical in some areas and include significant elevation change.
Distances offered:
- Half: 12.8 miles, 2,008 ft of gain (1 loop)
- Full: 25.6 miles, 4,016 ft of gain (2 loops)
- Ultra: 38.4 miles, 6,024 ft of gain (3 loops)
Parking at Crystal Springs is limited and a shuttle is required on race day; the shuttle runs repeatedly during the day to move participants between parking and the course. There is no parking at the start line. Shuttle parking address: 180 Pump Hollow Road, Wytheville, VA 24382. Start line address: 723 Pump Hollow Road.
Packet pickup is scheduled on the Friday before the race at Seven Sisters Brewery in downtown Wytheville and the morning of the race at the start/finish area. Race day registration is available on site. If registering after August 1, a race shirt is not guaranteed. Entry fees are nonrefundable; runners may transfer distances up to the day before the race and may transfer entries to another runner for the same year.
