Crystal Springs Ultra Races - Wytheville, VA
Crystal Springs Ultra Races take place at the Crystal Springs Recreation Area in Wytheville, Virginia, on a loop course that uses the Crystal Springs Loop Trail, Boundary Trail, High Rocks Spur Trail and adjacent connectors. The trails include technical sections and significant elevation change.
Distances and loop details:
- 12-hour and 6-hour: one loop = 12.8 miles, 2,008 ft elevation gain
- 3-hour (Crystal Light): one loop = 3.1 miles, 466 ft elevation gain

This is a cupless event; runners must carry a collapsible cup or bottle because aid stations do not provide disposable cups. Aid stations will offer PB&J sandwiches, bananas, pretzels, Oreos, hard candy, a limited number of gels, and hot food at select stations.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Seven Sisters Brewery in downtown Wytheville. Entry fees are nonrefundable; transfers between runners are allowed within the same year and distance transfers are permitted up to the day before the race. Medical rollovers, including pregnancy and post-partum, are allowed.
A limited "Leftover Option" entry is offered for a reduced fee and includes entry to any course, a leftover medal and bib, no shirt or swag, and is limited to 10 runners. Overall awards are given for first through third places in Male, Female, and Nonbinary categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
