Event overview
The SPASM Crystal Springs Trail Run takes place on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Huddart Park in Woodside, California. Distances offered include:

- Coastal Testing
Distances are measured with a Rolatape surveyor's wheel. GPX files are available for each distance. Parking at the park is $6 per vehicle. No dogs are allowed in the park or on the course. To guarantee a shirt, registration must be completed at least 10 business days before the event.
Course, aid and rules
The course runs through Huddart Park, King's Mountain and Bear Gulch and is marked with ribbon approximately every 200 yards. Polka-dot flagging indicates turns and blue ribbons mark wrong-way junctions. Headphones are permitted on dirt road sections only. Many park areas may have poison oak; participants are advised to stay on trail and wash after running. Bees or yellow jackets may be present.
Elevation gain and surface breakdown by distance: the 8K gains 710' (48% single track, 40% dirt road, 12% asphalt); Half Marathon 2,190' (78% single track); 35K 2,990' (87% single track); Marathon 3,790' (72% single track); 50K 4,530' (72% single track).
Aid stations are fully stocked every 5–9 miles with fruit, salty snacks, candy, water and Skratch electrolyte drink. Runners are advised to carry at least 20 oz of water between aid stations. The event is cupless; reusable or personal hydration containers are requested and a limited number of Hydrapak SpeedCups will be sold at check-in.
