Event overview
The St. Edward Spartan 5K Walk & Run takes place on April 25, 2026, in Fremont, California. The event is organized by St. Edward School as a volunteer-led school fundraiser and is described as the school’s third annual 5K walk/run. It is not a professionally timed race. Course and rules
The course uses packed gravel trails looping through Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area. The course is not USATF certified and the distance is approximate. Walkers and runners use the same route. Bikes, skateboards, and scooters are not allowed. Dogs are permitted on leash and owners must clean up after their pets. Participants are asked to stay on trails and to wear appropriate footwear and layered clothing. Bibs should be worn visibly on the chest.
Logistics and amenities
The registration desk is located in the Ensenada South Picnic Area. There is parking at the park with a park fee; additional parking is available near Niles Beach if lots are full. Early registrants receive a free parking pass included in their pre-race packet. Race packets can be picked up in advance at Billy Roy’s. Water stations are located near every mile marker, first aid is available at each water station and at the registration desk, and park restrooms are available.
