Crystal Lake Triathlon Race
The Crystal Lake Triathlon Race is a USAT sanctioned sprint-distance triathlon held on August 15, 2026 in Averill Park, NY at Crystal Lake. The swim start is at Crystal Cove beach and the swim is a single loop in the lake.
Course distances:
- Swim: 0.5 mi single loop
- Bike: 18 mi out and back through Rensselaer County countryside
- Run: 3 mi mostly flat loop around Crystal Lake
Event categories include individual adult and youth divisions, adult and youth teams, and aquabike for adult and youth participants. The aquabike follows the same swim and bike courses as the triathlon and ends when participants return to the transition area after the bike.
Registration opens January 5, 2026 and closing dates vary by event; fees vary by category. All participants must show USAT membership or purchase a one-day USAT license and must sign a USAT waiver.
