Helderberg to Hudson Half Marathon - Albany, NY
The Helderberg to Hudson Half Marathon is a USATF certified point-to-point half marathon scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Albany County, New York. The course begins at Stephen P. Wallace (New Scotland) Town Park in Voorheesville and finishes at Jennings Landing on the Hudson River. The route is primarily on paved surfaces and follows the Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail for roughly nine miles between town streets and the Hudson River bike path.
The profile shows an early high point near 0.42 miles at 513 feet, a starting elevation near 423 feet, and an overall drop of about 500 feet to a finish elevation near 13 feet. A temporary detour of roughly 200 meters will be used near water stop 3 while a nearby bridge is replaced; the course is being recertified accordingly.
On-course support includes six water stops, portable toilets at each water stop, NUUN at several stations, and GU available at water stop 4 in specified flavors. The event provides live tracking every 5K, timed results with both gun and net times, free bus transport from the finish to the start, gear check returning belongings to the finish, race photos, a post-run meal and a finisher medal. Merchandise is offered as optional add-ons.
Logistics note: there is no parking at the start; participants are directed to park near the finish and use the provided bus service.
