About the race
Crystal Beach 5k is a community run and walk held at 4020 Erie Road, Crystal Beach, Fort Erie, Ontario. The main event is a sanctioned, certified and fast 5 km out and back course that starts and finishes in front of Legacy Bar and Grill. Bikes, roller blades, skateboards and scooters are not permitted on the course.
The event program includes a Kid’s Fun Run for children ages 0 to 10, separate adult run and walk categories, and a student 5 km option. When registered as a walker, participants are required to walk only.
Awards are presented by category: special awards for top overall male and female runners and walkers, medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age group, and medals for the top three male and female walkers. All finishers receive a custom medal. T shirts are available for the first 500 registered participants. The event is described as dog friendly and features a post race party at the Grove.
