Crush the Cushman 5K

2026 PenMet Crush The Cushman 5K, 1-Mile and Kids Dash

The event is a community running program held at the PenMet Recreation Center in Gig Harbor, Washington. It takes place in the early evening and follows the PenMet Parks Health and Wellness Fair. The 5K uses an out and back course on the Cushman Trail and starts and finishes at the Recreation Center.

There are three event options with different distances and formats. The Kids Dash runs on the grass field at the Recreation Center and allows adults to accompany participants. The 1 mile event is offered for a shorter distance and for participants who prefer a more relaxed pace. The 5K run walk travels north on the Cushman Trail and is described as suitable for running, jogging, or walking, including participants with strollers or dogs.

• 250 yards Kids Dash on Rec Center grass field
• 1 mile Run walk option around the Recreation Center area
• 5K Out and back on the Cushman Trail
