Chesapeake City Running Event
The Crush the Chesapeake 5K is a community running event held in Chesapeake City, Maryland. The event features a single distance for participants:

The course begins near the bandstand on 1st Street. Participants follow a route through the town, with street parking available for those traveling to the venue. The race utilizes chip timing for age group results, while overall winners are determined by gun time.
Registered participants receive several amenities, including a dedicated race shirt and a finisher medal. Following the run, there is a post-race party hosted at the Chesapeake Inn on 2nd Street. This gathering includes entertainment, music, and snacks. Participants aged 21 and older receive a complimentary orange crush drink as part of the post-race activities.
Awards are presented in several categories, including overall male and female winners, as well as masters categories. The event also recognizes the top three finishers in various age brackets, ranging from 13 and under to 70 and over.
