Crusader Cross Country Classic
The Crusader Cross Country Classic is the first annual meet held at Muskegon Catholic Central Monsignor Kehren Stadium in Muskegon, Michigan. The event includes high school boys and girls races and an alumni and community race that is open to all.
The alumni and community race is a 5K. Registration is handled through RunSignUp. The entry fee is $25 through August 21; the price increases to $30 on race day. Race proceeds support the Cross Country and Track & Field programs at MCC.
The Crusader 5K course starts and finishes on the old cinder track inside the stadium and runs around the school athletic fields and grounds. The route follows much of the same path as the former course but removes a hairpin turn, and it is described as flat and spectator friendly.
Packet pick up takes place at a table inside the stadium. Restrooms are available inside the stadium. An athletic trainer will be available near the finish line for first aid. Chip timing is provided by MI Time Race Management LLC.
Entrances on Laketon Avenue will be closed; use the entrances on Barclay Street. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
