11th Annual Crown Run 5k
The Crown Run is a running event taking place at the Freedom Florence Sports Complex in Florence, South Carolina. Organised by the Eta Chi chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha at Francis Marion University, the event supports breast cancer education and research. All proceeds from the race are directed to the Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation.
The main event consists of a single distance:
- 3.1 miles (5k)
The course is open to participants of all ages without specific age restrictions. Strollers and pets are permitted on the course, and runners are allowed to listen to music during the race. The event begins with an opening welcome message to introduce sponsors and explain the purpose of the race.
Participants who register by March 13, 2026, receive a complimentary shirt. Available shirt sizes range from Youth Small to Large and Adult Small to 2XL. Packet pickup occurs on the morning of the event at the sports complex.
Awards are determined by gun time and include male and female categories. Recognition is given to the overall top male and female finishers, as well as the top two finishers in specific age groups. The age categories include 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
