Crooked Creek 5K Trail Challenge : event summary
The Crooked Creek 5K Trail Challenge takes place over two days, Saturday December 6 and Sunday December 7, 2025, in Shepherdsville, KY. The race village is at Harry S. Frazier Scout Reservation, 950 Terry Drive, Shepherdsville, KY 40165. The event offers two separate 5K trail races on consecutive days.

The course uses trails at Camp Crooked Creek across more than 1,000 acres of rolling hills and wooded terrain. The route passes near the 70-acre John Barr Lake and runs through areas of oak, hickory, and beech trees. The Crooked Creek trail is open only for this event.
Practical information
Registration for each 5K is listed at $15 per runner. A race t-shirt is available for purchase at $10 if ordered by November 21, 2025. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Camp Crooked Creek Dining Hall, or on race days starting at 7:00 AM. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers, and all finishers receive a custom Crooked Creek 5K medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
