Event

The 32nd Annual Crisis Services of North Alabama Turkey Trot is a community 5k held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 27, 2025, at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (Spragins Hall), Huntsville, AL. Distances:

  • 5k
  • 100-yard dash for children aged 5 and under (Tiny Tot Turkey Trot; free, no advance registration required)

The 5k runs on a USATF-certified course and uses the same route as the HTC Twilight Run. Event proceeds support victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and those needing crisis counseling. Door prizes are awarded before race awards.

Logistics and policies

The event is timed by RunningLane using RFID chips in race bibs; official time begins when a participant crosses the starting line. Bib and t-shirt pickup is available at Fleet Feet locations the days before the race and on race day inside Spragins Hall; t-shirts are limited and sizes are not guaranteed. Strollers and wheelchairs are allowed but should start at the back of the field for safety. Dogs are not allowed on the course; leashed dogs may stay at the sidelines. The race will be canceled only if weather makes conditions unsafe; in that case there is no rescheduling or refund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
