Crimson River Run 5K/10K
The Crimson River Run is the 6th annual 5K and 10K race and walk held on March 6, 2027 at Southern University and A&M College, Harding Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA. The course is USATF certified and takes place on the university campus.

- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
Registration is offered in early, regular, late, and day-of tiers; posted fees on the event page range approximately from $28.82 to $39.56 depending on registration period and itemized fees. Participants who register before January 30 will receive a T-shirt and a finisher's medal; T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after January 30.
A "Dear Dash" is held for participants aged 60 and older: a brisk 20-yard walk to the starting line where the winner becomes the official race starter. Overall adult winners in the 5K and 10K receive Varsity Sports gift cards; youth 5K winners receive a separate Varsity Sports gift card. Place awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in standard age-group categories from 0-19 up to 80+ years. Groups and teams are welcome.
Following the race, a Community Health and Economic Summit is scheduled with health screenings and local business vendors.
