Running of the Elves 5K
The Running of the Elves 5K takes place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Central Wildcat Stadium, 13845 Hooper Rd, Central, LA 70818. The event marks the 14th annual edition and features races for both adults and children, with encouraged holiday attire.
Distances:
- 5K for individual runners and groups
- 1 Mile Fun Run for younger participants
Packet and apparel details: early package pickup is available at Central Community Athletics Gym, 10510 Joor Rd, on Friday, November 20 from 10:00 to 17:00. Race day packet pickup begins at 6:45. Participants registered by November 12 are guaranteed a finishers medal and a t-shirt. Additional event t-shirt sales end on November 15. Online registration closes November 19 at 23:59; registration fees vary by date and include a day of race option.
Timing, awards and extras: the race will be chip timed by Pelican Timing. All finishers receive a medal. Awards include top overall male and female, 1st and 2nd in each age group, and a costume contest. The 1 mile fun run also recognizes overall top male and female. Post-race activities listed by the organizer include complimentary pancakes and coffee, photos with Santa, giveaways, a fire truck and Sparky the Dog, and kid activities.
