Event Overview
The Cranford Pizza Run features a 5K course that participants can choose to run or walk. Held in Nomahegan Park within Cranford, New Jersey, the route provides views of local water features and birdlife in a tranquil setting. The course is entirely flat with no hills, and a water station is located near the 1.5-mile mark.
Logistics and Location
Parking for participants is available directly at Nomahegan Park or across the street at the Union County Community College. For those who wish to collect their materials in advance, early packet pickup is hosted at Fleet Feet in Summit. On the day of the race, packet pickup takes place on-site at the park. Participants receive a finisher's medal, a commemorative shirt, and a slice of pizza as part of their entry. Shirts are provided to the first 400 entrants.
Awards and Charity
The event recognizes several categories of participants, including the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three in various age groups ranging from 11 and under to over 80. A special award is also given for the most creative costume. A portion of the proceeds from the event supports METAvivor, an organization focused on funding research for stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
