CraggRunner Sprint 5k
The CraggRunner Sprint 5k is a road running series held at the Steven Burke cycle hub. This event features a flat course designed for participants aiming for personal records or those participating in their first race. The series consists of four separate events scheduled throughout the year on Saturdays in March, June, August, and October.
Participants can choose to enter a single race or register for all four events in the series. The competition uses chip timing provided by Time My Race, and the results are linked to official platforms including Run Britain and Power of 10. The event structure includes six different race groups based on predicted finishing times. This organization allows runners to compete alongside others with similar paces, with groups ranging from slower predicted times to faster ones.
The venue provides essential facilities for participants, including portable toilets and water available both before and after the race. Due to the location and time of year, there is no parking allowed on the Sport Hub field; visitors are required to find parking on the surrounding local roads. Registration is open to both UKA members and non-members, with the option for day-of-race entry if the maximum participant capacity has not been reached.
