CraggRunner Sprint 5k
The CraggRunner Sprint is a one-day running event held at the Steven Burke Sports Hub in Nelson on 24 October 2026. The senior race distance is 5 km on a flat course at the cycle hub. The event uses chip timing and results are linked to Run Britain and Power of 10.
Entry categories and fees are published for UKA members and non members, with an on the day entry option available at a different fee if the race maximum is not reached. Entries open in December 2025 and close in October 2026. The minimum age for the senior event is 15 or older.
Junior races are organised separately for younger athletes with medals for the top three boys and girls in each junior race. Junior distances:
- u10 race : 1 km
- u12 race : 2 km
- u14 race : 3 km
The senior programme is arranged in multiple seeded races with participants allocated according to predicted finish time; allocations are confirmed to entrants before the event. Facilities at the venue include portable toilets and water available before and after races. Parking is not permitted on the Sports Hub field so attendees should use nearby roads for parking.
