CraggRunner Sprint 5k
The CraggRunner Sprint 5k is a 5k road race held on 24 October 2026 at the Steven Burke Sports Hub in Nelson (Cravendale Ave, BB9 8SJ). The course is described as flat and takes place at the Steven Burke cycle hub.
Entries for the event open on 22 December 2025 and close on 21 October 2026. Entry fees listed are £12 for UKA members and £14 for non members. Entry on the day is available only if the race maximum is not reached and is priced at £15. The event is part of a CragRunner 5km Sprint Series made up of four events in 2026.
The senior race has a minimum age of 15 or older. Junior races are available for 14 year olds and under; 15 year olds run the senior race. Junior distances are:
- u10 (1k)
- u12 (2k)
- u14 (3k)
Medals are awarded to the first three boys and first three girls in each junior race. There are no overall series prizes for juniors. Chip timing is used and results will be linked to Run Britain and Power of 10. Facilities at the venue include portable toilets and water available before and after races. Parking is not allowed on the sports hub field and attendees are asked to park considerately on local roads. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
