CraggRunner Sprint 5k : Steven Burke Sports Hub, Nelson
The CraggRunner Sprint 5k is a 5 kilometre road race scheduled for 24 October 2026 at the Steven Burke Sports Hub in Nelson (BB9 8SJ). The course is described as flat and located at the Steven Burke cycle hub. The event is part of a four-event CragRunner 5km Sprint Series; entrants may enter one or more events in the series.
Race organisation includes chip timing provided by TIME MY RACE and results linked to Run Britain and Power of 10. There are six planned senior races allocated by predicted time, and separate junior races with the following distances:
- Senior: 5 km
- U10: 1 km
- U12: 2 km
- U14: 3 km
Minimum age for the senior race is 15 or older; junior races are for younger athletes with medals awarded to the first three boys and girls in each junior race. There are no overall series prizes for juniors. Entry fees listed are £12 for UKA members and £14 for non members, with entry on the day possible at £15 if the event maximum has not been reached. Entries open 22 December 2025 and close 21 October 2026. Facilities at the venue include portable toilets and water before and after races.
