CraggRunner Sprint 5k : Steven Burke Sports Hub, Nelson, 24 October 2026
The CraggRunner Sprint 5k is a 5 kilometre road/track race held at the Steven Burke Sports Hub in Nelson (Cravendale Ave, BB9 8SJ). The senior event is organised as part of the CragRunner 5km Sprint Series and takes place on 24 October 2026.
Entry is managed through the SiEntries system; entries open 22 December 2025 and close 21 October 2026. Entry fees are listed as UKA Member £12.00 and Non Member £14.00. Entry on the day is possible if the event maximum is not reached, at a stated cost of £15.
Age and categories:
- Senior race for participants aged 15 or older.
- Junior races for younger athletes: u10 (1k), u12 (2k), u14 (3k).
Junior races award medals to the first three boys and first three girls in each junior category. There are no overall series prizes for juniors. The course at the cycle hub is described as flat. Chip timing is used via Time My Race and results will be linked to Run Britain and Power of 10; the event is associated with Run Britain.
On-site details include portable toilets and water available before and after races. There is no parking on the Sports Hub field; attendees are asked to park considerately on nearby roads.
