CraggRunner Sprint 5k
The CraggRunner Sprint 5k is a running event taking place on Saturday, 22nd August 2026. The race course is described as flat and is held at the Steven Burke Sports Hub (Cycle Hub) in Nelson. A chip timing service will be used, with results linked to Run Britain and Power of 10.
The event is part of a series of four 5k races in 2026, with discounts for entering multiple races. For this date, races are planned from 1:00 PM, with six races every half hour. Participants are allocated a start time based on their predicted pace, with slower runners in the earlier races and faster ones around 3:45 PM.
Separate junior races are available for participants aged 14 and under, with different distances for age categories. The senior race has a minimum age of 15. Parking is not available on the field; participants are asked to use local roads. Portable toilets and water will be available.
Entry fees are £12.00 for UKA members and £14.00 for non-members. Entries open on 22nd December 2025 and close on 19th August 2026. Entry on the day is sometimes available for £15.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
