CraggRunner Sprint 5k
The CraggRunner Sprint 5k is a series of flat 5k road races held at the Steven Burke cycle hub. The event includes a main 5k race plus separate junior races with measured distances. Chip timing is used and results are linked to Run Britain and Power of 10.
The 2026 series is on four Saturdays: 14 March, 13 June, 22 August and 24 October. Entry options include single-race entry or a discounted price for all four events. Pricing listed for 2026 is: UKA members £12 per race or £42 for all four; non members £14 per race or £50 for all four. Entry on the day is possible only if the race maximum has not been reached and costs £15.
Races on event days are organised in waves and participants are allocated to a wave based on predicted time, with slower predicted times starting earlier in the sequence. Junior races are for 14 year olds and under; 15 year olds run in the senior race. Medals are awarded to the first three boys and girls in each junior race and there are no overall series prizes for juniors. Junior presentations take place after the last junior race.
Practical information supplied for participants notes there will be no parking on the Sport Hub field at this time of year, portable toilets on site, and water available before and after races.
