Event Details
The CraggRunner Sprint 5k takes place on Saturday, 14th March 2026 at the Steven Burke Sports Hub in Nelson. The event uses a flat course.
Race Format
The 5k race has staggered start times beginning from 1 PM, with six planned races every half hour. Participants are allocated to a specific race based on their predicted finish time, with slower times starting first and faster times in the last race around 3:45 PM. Start times are communicated before the event.
Separate junior races are also held for participants aged 14 and under, with distances of 1k, 2k, and 3k for different age groups. These start at 11:30 AM. The first three boys and girls in each junior race receive medals.
Logistics and Registration
Entry fees are £12.00 for UKA members and £14.00 for non-members. On-the-day entry is available for £15 if the race maximum has not been reached. The minimum age for the senior 5k race is 15. Online entries close on Wednesday, 11th March 2026.
Chip timing is provided by Time My Race, and results will be linked to Run Britain and Power of 10. Portable toilets and water are available at the venue. There is no parking on the Sport Hub field; participants are asked to park considerately on local roads.
