Event Overview

The CraggRunner Sprint 5k is a running event scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026. It takes place at the Steven Burke Sports Hub in Nelson.

Course Details

The event takes place on a flat course suitable for participants aiming for a personal record or for first-time runners. The senior race is open to participants aged 15 and older.

Schedule and Format

The senior 5k races start from 1:00 PM, with six races planned at half-hour intervals. Participants are allocated to a specific race based on their predicted finish time, starting with slower runners first. Separate junior races are available for participants aged 14 and under, with distances of 1k, 2k, and 3k. The junior races begin at 11:30 AM.

Facilities and Information

Chip timing will be provided, with results linked to Run Britain and Power of 10. Portable toilets and water will be available at the venue. Parking is not available on the sports hub field; participants are asked to park considerately on local roads.

Participation and Entry

Entry is possible for the single event or as part of a series of four events in 2026. Entry fees are £12.00 for UKA members and £14.00 for non-members.
