The Calderdale Hike

The Calderdale Hike is scheduled for Saturday 11 April 2026 and is organised by the 24th St Paul’s Scout Group in Sowerby Bridge. The event is based at St Peter’s Cricket Club, where registration and a compulsory kit check take place. Entrants must be 14 years of age or older on the day.

The routes run across the high Pennine valleys of Calderdale, over tracks and surrounding moors. The terrain includes steep ascents and descents and can be harsh in bad weather, so navigation skills are recommended. The circular routes run west from Sowerby towards the Lancashire border.
