Event Overview
The Craft Beer Half Marathon & 5 Miler takes place at Brixham Park in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, North Carolina. The event features multiple participation options:
- Half Marathon
- 5 Miler
- Half Marathon Relay (3 or less people)
- Virtual Runner options for both distances
The course for the Half Marathon is split between paved roads and greenway trails. The event has a total participant limit of 2,000 runners. A three-hour time limit is in place for the Half Marathon, while the 5 Miler has a time limit of one hour and 15 minutes. Due to city agreements, streets must reopen to traffic on a fixed schedule.
Course Details and Support
Both races start and finish at Brixham Park. The Half Marathon includes six water stops and portable toilets at several intervals along the route, specifically at miles 2.5, 4.5, 6.5, 8.5, 10, and 12. The 5 Miler has two water stops. Timing is conducted using disposable tags provided at packet pick-up. Pace groups are available for the half marathon ranging from 1:35 to 3:00.
Participant Information
Participants receive a long-sleeve shirt if registered by March 15. The event also provides finisher medals designed as coasters. The post-race expo features live music and representatives from over 10 local breweries. Please note that dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course. There is no bag check available on-site.
