CPL./1 Matthew "Ty" Snook Memorial 5K, Lewes, DE
The inaugural CPL./1 Matthew "Ty" Snook Memorial 5K is a commemorative 5-kilometer run and walk held in Lewes, Delaware on June 20, 2026. The event is organized by the Seashore Striders and supported by the Ty Snook Foundation and the Delaware State Troopers Association Benevolent Fund. It is included in the Seashore Strider Triple Crown Series and the 1st Responder Series; participants who complete all three series events qualify for an additional Triple Crown award.
The course is described as flat and fast. It is an out-and-back route that starts near Market Street and follows Cedar Avenue, turning around between the Children's Beach House and the Lewes Yacht Club. Timing will be done with the Chronotrack B Chip system.
Registration options and fees are specified by date tiers, with an early price of $30 through May 31, higher fees for later registration, and a last chance fee on race day. Registrations completed by June 15 are guaranteed a race t-shirt; later registrations receive shirts as available. Registration is available online and by mail; mailed entries should be sent to Seashore Striders in Lewes.
