Inaugural memorial 5K in Lewes, DE
This event is the inaugural memorial 5K hosted by the Seashore Striders as the second race in their Triple Crown Series. The race base is at Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant, 213 Anglers Road, Lewes, DE 19958. The course is a flat and fast out and back from Market Street using Cedar Avenue with the turnaround between the Children's Beach House and the Lewes Yacht Club. Chip timing will be used with the Chronotrack B Chip system.
Registration is available online through RunSignUp or by mail using the universal entry form. Fee tiers are listed as $30 for early registrations through May 31, $35 for pre registrations from June 1 through June 19, and $40 for last chance race day registration. Registrations received by June 15 are guaranteed a custom event t shirt; packet pickup details will be announced closer to the race.
Event amenities include a produced finish line, custom printed t shirts, custom awards, and a post race awards ceremony at Irish Eyes. Awards will be given to overall male and female champions, overall male and female masters aged 40 and over, and the top three male and female finishers in the stated age groups from 9 and under through 80 plus. A special memorial award will be presented to the first male and female current Delaware State Police finisher.
