Coz's Backyard Ultra
Coz's Backyard Ultra is a Backyard Ultra event held on May 30, 2026 at the Trenton Fish and Game Club, 8001 Wood Rd, Holland Patent, NY. The format requires runners to complete the same loop once every hour until only one runner remains or the time limit is reached.
The loop is 3 1/3 mile long and includes about 200 feet of total ascent per lap. The course runs on non technical hiking and ski trails through pines and open hardwoods. The route is primarily rolling double track with an out and back dirt road section.
A new loop begins on the hour; runners must be in the starting corral when the bell rings or they are removed from the event. The event has a 30 hour limit. If more than one runner completes all 30 hours, the runner who crosses the line first on the final lap is declared the winner.
Basic refreshments will be available including water, a sports drink called Mapleaid, fruit, candy, chips, pickles and coffee. Pizza will be provided at some point in the evening for participants still on course. Participants are encouraged to bring personal nutrition, items for a communal aid table, and their own cup to reduce waste. Registration closes May 28 at 11:59 PM ET.
