Coyote Two Moon
Coyote Two Moon is a multi-distance trail event scheduled April 30 - May 2, 2027 in Ojai, California, staged in the Los Padres National Forest. Distances offered include:
- 100 Miler
- 100K
- 55 Miler
- 55K
- 30K
- 10K
The event lists substantial elevation for the longer courses, including about 26,000 ft of gain for the 100 mile and about 17,000 ft for the 100K; the 55 mile course is listed at approximately 14,583 ft of gain and the 55K at about 7,713 ft. A 42 hour cutoff is noted. Navigation aids described for the courses include detailed turn-by-turn directions, color-coded ribbons for each distance, and signage at intersections.
Field size and entry rules are restricted: total entries are limited to 150 spots across all distances. Qualification requirements are stated for the longer races: entry to the 100 mile requires proof of a 100K with 10,000+ ft of elevation gain, and entry to the 100K requires a trail 50K with at least 8,000 ft of climbing. The organizer states no refunds or transfers; deferrals may be permitted at the race director's discretion. The race director also reserves the right to change the course, adjust schedule, reroute, or cancel the event for safety or other reasons. Registration opens August 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM PT.
