Coyote Chase 5k
The Coyote Chase 5k is a 5k running event held on the Monarch High School campus in Louisville, Colorado. The event supports the Monarch High School cross country program.
The course follows a 2 km loop that is surfaced with grass, dirt, and concrete sidewalk. The grass portion is about 65 percent of the loop, dirt makes up about 5 percent, and the remainder is concrete sidewalk. The loop format is used for the 5k distance.
The setting includes the Flatirons of Boulder visible in the background and farmland on two sides of the course, where cows are present. This places the course within a school campus environment that mixes open field and paved walkways.
