Cox Running Club Monster Dash
The Cox Running Club Monster Dash is an athletic event held at the Woodshed Smokehouse on Riverfront Drive in Fort Worth, Texas. The event features three distinct distance options for participants:
- Half Marathon
- 5K Run/Walk
- Beer Mile (limited to 50 participants)
The courses for these races are described as fast and flat. Participants who register for the event receive a technical shirt from the Cox Running Club. Additional amenities provided include custom finisher medals, as well as refreshments and soft drinks. Beer is also available as part of the race features.
The event recognizes performance across various categories for both the 5K and the Half Marathon. Overall awards are presented to the top male and female finishers, as well as masters male and female finishers. Furthermore, age group awards are given three deep in five-year increments, ranging from age 12 and under to 80 and over, including a specific category for race walkers.
