Cover Your Tracks Forensics 5K Run/Walk
Cover Your Tracks Forensics 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for October 31, 2026, at 23 Winterberry Ct, Greenville, SC 29607, near the Greenville Tech Barton Campus. The event is a 5-kilometer community run and walk offered as a single distance event.
Registration opens August 17, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026. Fee tiers are stated by date: an early rate of $30 through September 19, 2026; a regular rate of $35 from September 20 to October 10, 2026; and a last minute rate of $40 from October 11 to October 30, 2026. Children age six and under may register free of charge and will not receive a T-shirt or race bib. Packet pickup is available the day before the event on October 30, 2026 at the event address and on race day at the race site.
Proceeds support the Future of Forensic Scholarship Fund administered by the Department of Public Safety’s Forensic Division. Scholarships will be awarded in Spring 2027 to students pursuing education in forensic science.
The event includes competitive awards and community activities. Overall cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers are $100, $75, and $50. Age-group awards are planned for 1st through 3rd place across standard age ranges from 0–9 through 80 and older. A costume contest awards $50, $30, and $15 for first through third places and requires participants to wear their costume while running.
