Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series : August 8, 2026
The Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series event on Saturday, August 8, 2026 takes place at Sky Country Trailhead, 7077 Clay Pit Rd, Bellevue, WA 98006. The event is organized by Seattle Running Club and Northwest Trail Runs. Entry fees listed for the August event are:
- 5K : $40
- 14.5 Miles : $65
- 26.2 Miles : $80
Each entry contributes $15 to King County Parks.
Course, series and event information
Races run on single-track trails in Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park, through fern-lined forest, marshes and wetland habitats. The terrain includes rolling hills, a few moderate climbs, and several short steep inclines. The August race is part of a multi-month series with short and long series options; series awards are based on the best 3 out of 4 races. Top 3 Men, Women, and Nonbinary runners in each event receive podium prizes; top overall series finishers receive awards and a free entry for the following year.
Event policies note a participant cap, no refunds, and a cup-free approach that asks runners to bring refillable water containers for aid stations. Dogs are not allowed on course due to insurance requirements. Photos and videos may be taken and used for promotional purposes. Online registration closes the Wednesday before each event; day-of registration is available. Safety guidance asks anyone showing symptoms of illness to skip the race.
