Obliteride
Obliteride is a fundraising event organized by Fred Hutch that brings together cyclists, walkers and runners to raise money for Fred Hutch Cancer Center. The event includes in-person and virtual options and directs participant-raised dollars to cancer research and related programs.
Event formats include:
- 25, 50, and 100 mile bike routes starting and finishing in Seattle
- 5K walk/run in Seattle
Cyclist participation is for ages 18 and older. The ride lists a registration fee of $150 and a fundraising minimum of $1,250 or more. The 5K walk/run is open to all ages with a registration fee of $75 and a fundraising minimum of $250 or more. The virtual option is open to all ages with a registration fee of $10 and no fundraising minimum.
Volunteer shifts are available before and during Obliteride Weekend and volunteers can be age 12 or older. The event calendar notes a Friday Night Party on August 7, 2026 and Obliteride Day on August 8, 2026. Over 13 years participants and supporters have raised more than $67 million. The organizer states that 100 percent of participant-raised dollars fund discoveries at Fred Hutch, supported by event sponsors and other donors.
