Obliteride
Obliteride is a fundraising event that combines a community bike ride and a 5K walk/run to raise funds for Fred Hutch Cancer Center. The event is held each summer and brings together participants, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters to fund cancer research.
The program for 2026 includes a Friday Night Party on August 7 and Obliteride Day on August 8. Registration opens April 9. Materials for the event highlight group starts, finish-line moments, volunteers cheering, and participants honoring loved ones.
Organizers state that 100% of participant-raised dollars advance research in cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and cures, with event sponsors and supporters covering other costs. Over 13 years the Obliteride community has raised more than $67 million. An annual report is published to document the event's impact and funding outcomes.
