Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series (June)
The Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series is a recurring trail race event held at Sky Country Trailhead in Bellevue, Washington. The June event is part of a multi-month series organized by Seattle Running Club and Northwest Trail Runs. A fixed donation of $15 from each entry is directed to King County Parks; the series has raised over $265,000 for the parks to date.
Races take place on single-track trails through forest, marsh and wetland habitats just outside Seattle. The course includes rolling hills, a few moderate climbs and several short steep inclines. The series runs across spring and summer with a short series and a long series; standings use the best three of four races to determine awards. Podium prizes are given to the top three Men, Women and Nonbinary finishers in each event; top overall Men, Women and Nonbinary runners by cumulative time receive awards and a free entry to the following year.
Event policies noted for participants include a participant cap, no refunds, a cup free approach that asks runners to bring refillable hydration, and a prohibition on dogs on course due to insurance requirements. Photos and video may be taken and used by the organizers for promotional purposes. Safety guidance asks symptomatic individuals to refrain from participation.
