Cotter Bridge Ultra
Cotter Bridge Ultra is a timed running event with a repeating hourly lap format. Runners complete a 4.1667 mile lap each hour and must finish each lap within one hour to continue. There are strict rules including no early starts, no late starts, no pacers, and no stashing items on course. Each entrant receives a single result for the distance chosen at registration.
Distances:
- 1 hour = 4.1667 miles
- 3 hours = 12.50 miles
- 6 hours = 25 miles
- 12 hours = 50 miles
The course is located at Big Springs Park in Cotter, Arkansas. It uses a mostly flat, straight 2.08 mile out and back multi use trail with minimal elevation gain, a clearly defined turnaround, and mostly fine crushed gravel surface. The route follows the White River and offers shade, a wide path, and limited technical features.
Aid and logistics are centered at the pavilion. Water and basic nutrition are available there, and runners are expected to be mostly self sufficient lap to lap. Meals are provided at the six and twelve hour marks by One More Yard Cafe. Runners may set up a personal aid or crew tent near the start on a first come, first serve basis. Basic first aid is available at the start area. Camping is not allowed before the event begins, but staying on site during the event is permitted. Awards are custom laser engraved.
