Multisport Racing at Lake 62
The Cotswolds Individual Team Relay Super Sprint Triathlon takes place at a private venue at Lake 62 in Ashton Keynes, Wiltshire. This event provides two distinct formats for multisport racing, utilizing a private lake for swimming, local roads for cycling, and a lakeside path for running.
Two primary formats are available for participants:
- Individual Triathlon: Participants complete four consecutive legs of a 300m swim, 8km cycle, and 1.5km run.
- Team Triathlon: Teams of four compete concurrently, with each member completing a 300m swim, 8km cycle, and 1.5km run.
The swim legs are held in the private lake, while the cycling portion takes place on Cotswolds roads. The run is contained within the venue on a path following the lake. Registration is limited to 70 teams and 20 individual participants, with the event open to those aged 15 and over.
The venue offers facilities for both competitors and spectators, including a free family fun run and picnic areas. Ample free parking is situated within a five-minute walk of the venue, with specific provisions for disabled parking available upon request. For those travelling from further away, on-site camping can be pre-booked for Friday or Saturday nights, though please note that while toilet facilities are available, there are no showers on-site.
