Corre Con Dignidad 5K
The Corre Con Dignidad 5K takes place on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Sandy Creek Park, 400 Bob Holman Road, Athens, GA 30607. Event entry is listed at $30; the price increases after November 15, 2025. Each person entering Sandy Creek Park between the ages of 4 and 64 will be charged a $2.00 gate entry fee. The course is USATF certified and runs entirely inside the park on a paved surface.
If a t-shirt is desired, registration by November 15, 2025 is recommended; after that date shirts are not guaranteed and will be available while supplies last. Awards are given for Overall Male and Female, Masters Male and Female, and the following male and female age groups: 10 and Under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and Over.
Organization, services and policies
Organizers describe the event as a family friendly environment to spend time outdoors and to support a small volunteer organization of 15 people. The group aims to bring Latinx culture to Athens through community events and to raise funds to acquire a van for distributing over 50 food boxes to families in Athens. The race is part of the Black Bag Race Series. Finish line management and timing are provided by Classic Race Services. In case of storms, the race start time may be delayed in 15-minute increments; there are no refunds for inclement weather. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
