Rhode Island Corporate 5k
The Corporate Fun Run Rhode Island is a team-oriented sports event held at Roger Williams Park in Providence. The event centers around the Temple to Music section of the park, which serves as the hub for pre-race gatherings, the start and finish lines, and the post-race festivities. This evening event is designed for companies and organizations to engage in physical activity and social interaction.
Participants take part in a 5 km run or walk that stays entirely within the boundaries of Roger Williams Park. The course passes several local landmarks, including the botanical center, the Japanese gardens, and the Roger Williams Park Zoo. The route provides a scenic tour of the park's grounds before returning to the Temple to Music.
The event features a post-race party on the grass area in front of the Temple. The organizer provides banquet table seating for all teams, along with music provided by a live DJ. Food and beverages including pizza and beer are included for participants. Organizations also have the option to bring their own catering for a private company picnic.
Professional team and individual photographs are captured throughout the evening and made available to participants. The event concludes with an awards ceremony recognizing the largest team, the team with the best t-shirt design, and the fastest individual and team finishers.
