Manhattan Financial District 5k
The Manhattan Financial District 5k is a Corporate FunRun event. It takes place on a Thursday evening in September at Rockefeller Park North in Battery Park City. The park is across the street from River Terrace between Liberty and Warren Streets.
Race Format and Schedule The event includes pre-race activities, a 5k run/walk, and a post-race party. The schedule includes team packet pickup and a company gathering, followed by the 5k run/walk within the park. A post-race party with awards concludes the event.
Event Details The pre-race and post-race activities are held in the picnic area near handball courts at Rockefeller Park North. Picnic tables and blankets are provided on the grass. The 5k course is an out-and-back route on the walk/run path heading south towards Robert Wagner Park, starting and finishing on the great lawn.
Post-Race Party A post-race party features free pizza, cookies, and beverages. A DJ plays music, and a photographer takes free team and individual photos. Awards are presented for categories including largest team, best team t-shirt, and fastest team/individuals.
Registration and Logistics Registration is for teams, with a fee per team member. The event can be accessed via the A/C subway to Chambers Street station, or by walking or rideshare. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
