Event Overview
The Corny 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in Claysville, Pennsylvania. The event features two distances: a 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. It starts at the beginning of the National Pike Trail.
Purpose
The event is held during the corn and wheat harvest time. Its primary purpose is to raise funds for the restoration of First Lutheran Church, which is 100 years old in 2026, for various repairs and updates.
Participation Details
Participants are encouraged to wear corny outfits. The event promotes a family-friendly atmosphere.
Registration and Swag
Registration prices for the 5K are $25 ($30 standard) and $20 for the 1 Mile ($25 standard). Prices increase after May 17, 2026. Participants who register by August 1st are guaranteed a commemorative race t-shirt and swag bag. Those registering after this date will receive a shirt only if supplies remain.
Awards
Awards are given for the 5K event only. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
- The top three male and top three female 5K runners receive "corny items."
- The top finisher in the 5K within each of ten age groups (from 10 and under to 80+) also receives a corny gift.
