Event overview
The Cornish Coastline Training Weekend runs from 21st to 23rd November 2025 and is a guided training weekend based at Holifield Hostel in Gweek, TR12 6UJ. The programme includes three guided runs that cover parts of the Cornish coastal route between Coverack and Porthtowan. Distances planned are:
- ~27 km (Saturday morning)
- ~20 km (Saturday evening, night run)
- ~17 km (Sunday morning)
The runs are intended as route recce sections for those preparing for the Arc of Attrition 50 or 100, but entry to that race is not required. Groups will be adapted to ability, guided by a minimum of three qualified guides with local knowledge.
Logistics and kit
The weekend cost is £175 and includes two nights in shared dorm accommodation (maximum eight per dorm), two evening meals, breakfasts, three guided runs, transport to and from each guided run, and a mobile aid station during the runs. Dorms may be mixed sex depending on numbers; bathrooms and showers at the hostel are private.
Participants must be 18 years or older. A minimum kit list is required for each run and includes suitable trail footwear, waterproof jacket with hood, waterproof over-trousers, warm layers, gloves and hat, a running pack with at least 1.5 litres capacity, emergency food, a whistle, and a working head or hand torch for the night run.
