Coppice Fell Race

Coppice Fell Race first ran in 2001 as an event organised to provide a fell race when other races were cancelled because of the foot and mouth outbreak. It spent a few years in the Clayton Summer Series before becoming an independent fell race under the FRA and is now included in the Accrington Fell & Trail Series.

The race is held in Accrington, Lancashire, with the village pub listed as the meeting point at the Whitakers Arms on Burnley Road. The main course is approximately 4 mile and the event also includes a junior race of 2k with a minimum age of 8. Entry on the day is shown as £7 for the main race.
