Copperhead Beer Run : Drink Run Repeat
The Copperhead Beer Run takes place on May 15, 2027 at the Briar Patch Hunting property, near Poplar Grove Plantation, with a listed address of 12706 US-17, Hampstead, NC 28443, US. The event program includes multiple trail and running races and team divisions across short and long distances.
Racing options include individual and team formats. The main course is a 20K distance offered as an individual race, relay divisions (teams of 2, 3, or 4), a beer club division, a corporate charity team division, and a bulk purchase relay option. A separate combined division called Double Copperhead Trouble pairs the Beer Mile with the 20K Individual. Short events include a 10K individual, Beer Mile races by category, and a Doughnut Mile.
The event uses a repeated 5K loop format for the longer distances. Before each 5K lap participants may choose a 12-ounce Wicked Weed beer or chocolate milk; beer is available only to participants 21 or older and chocolate milk is offered as an alternative. Beer consumption affects time deductions: the 20K Individual allows up to four beers for a maximum 8 minute deduction; relay teams may receive a 2 minute deduction per 5K leg.
