The Cooper River Bridge Run 10K
The Cooper River Bridge Run is a point-to-point 10 km event held in South Carolina. The course begins in Mount Pleasant at the corner of Simmons and Coleman Boulevard and finishes in downtown Charleston. A central feature of the route is the crossing of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, which spans 2.5 miles and features a maximum grade of 5.6%.
The event includes several participation categories:
- 10 km Run/Walk
- Competitive Wheelchair
- Kids Run
The race uses ChronoTrack timing technology with tags embedded directly into the participant bibs. For those choosing to walk, there is a three-hour time limit to complete the course. The event is capped at 38,500 participants.
Logistical support includes shuttle buses for runners and walkers, as well as a boat shuttle service from the Fountain Walk Dock to Patriots Point. Participants must wear their bib numbers to access the shuttle services. Before the race, a Health and Wellness Expo is held at the North Charleston Coliseum, where participants must pick up their race packets, as there is no packet pickup available on the day of the event. Additional event features include a finish festival with entertainment and live bands. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
