Coombabah Trail Run - Coombabah Trail Run / Walk
Coombabah Trail Run is a community trail event held at the Coombabah Lake Conservation Area on Lakelands Road, Coombabah, Queensland. The event offers two course distances: 12.5 km and 5.5 km. Start and finish are at the main entrance of the reserve, opposite the Southport Airfield on Shelter Road at the Koala Trail.
Runners receive a race bib and a Coombabah Trail Run logoed event visor or bucket hat at registration. At the finish there is a sweet item and a drink for participants. A fully equipped paramedical team will be on site during the race.
Prizes and lucky-draw items include YETI custom drinkware and a limited number of Specialized T-shirts with an embroidered event logo. From 2025 the event organiser will draw one entry from all three yearly events to receive entry, accommodation for two, and transport for the Papatowai Challenge in Otago, New Zealand.
The organisers limit entries to keep the event small and personal. The Coombabah wetlands form part of the Southern Moreton Bay Marine Park and are registered under the Ramsar Convention as wetlands of international importance. The event has a refund policy that allows refunds or transfers depending on timing and circumstances, and entries are transferred automatically if the event is postponed.
