Event Overview
The Cookie Fix Cookie Crusher HSV5K/10K returns to Huntsville for its second annual edition. Organized by the Alabama Race Series, this event takes place at Back Forty and John Hunt Park. The proceeds from the race benefit Magic Moments, an Alabama-based organization that grants wishes to children facing chronic life-threatening or acute life-altering conditions.
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 200 Yard Dash
The 5 km course is described as flat and fast, accommodating both runners and walkers. The 10 km distance is a new addition to the event, designed for those seeking a longer endurance challenge. Younger participants can take part in the 200 Yard Dash, a short sprint designed for children.
Registration is required for all distances. All participants receive a race shirt and a finisher's medal. Upon reaching the finish line, runners are provided with a treat from Cookie Fix. Following the event, an after-party is hosted at Back Forty, which is open to the public and offers a family-friendly environment.
