Cookie Dash 5k and 1 Mile
The Cookie Dash is a running event organized by the Huntsville Track Club and is part of its Grand Prix series. The event takes place in Hampton Cove, Alabama, starting and finishing at Hampton Cove Middle School.
Two distances are offered:
- 5k Run
- 1 Mile
The 5k course is USATF-certified (AL14024JD), described as flat. It runs through the Hampton Cove neighborhood of Deford Mill and finishes on a greenway. The 1 Mile course is described as a new, fast course that debuted the previous year. Post-race, participants can enjoy more than 1000 cookies.
Registration prices are $20 for the 5k and $15 for the 1 Mile. Huntsville Track Club members receive a 10% discount, which is only available before the day of packet pickup.
Packet pickup is available on Thursday and Friday before the race from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at RunningLane in Huntsville. Limited packet pickup is also available at the race site starting at 2:30 PM on race day. Volunteers receive a Cookie Dash t-shirt.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Huntsville Community Drumline and the Hampton Cove Schools PTA, supporting HCES, HCMS, and GSES. The race has a dedicated page on Facebook. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
