Black Gold 24hr and 12hr Endurance Challenge
The Black Gold 24hr and 12hr Endurance Challenge is an endurance running event on November 21, 2026 at Belfry High School, 27678 US-119, Belfry, KY. The event offers multiple formats including 24 hour and 12 hour individual efforts, relay teams, and rucksack divisions.

The course is a new 1 mile loop that begins and ends on the school track and runs around the parking lot. The loop is described as generally flat with some downhills; participants may choose to run the loop in reverse after reaching 50 miles, which adds two hills. The course is open to traffic and is not certified. Laps are recorded by chip timing through MyLaps and by ankle bracelet tags for relays; participants must cross timing mats and wear timing tags on shoe and bib at all times for laps to count.
Support includes water, Gatorade, soda, coffee, pickle juice, grab and go snacks, and donated home-cooked meals. Porta potties will be placed along the course. Parking is available in the lot next to the track. Overnight options include camping on site and indoor locker room space with showers. Awards include top male and female in each main division, rucksack awards, team awards, belt buckles for mileage goals, and finisher items.
