Event overview
The Black Gold 24hr and 12hr Endurance Challenge is a timed endurance event on November 15, 2025 in Belfry, KY at Belfry High School. The event offers 24-hour and 12-hour individual options and a 3-person relay. Organizers provide shirts, a finisher's medal, and a belt buckle for participants who complete 100 miles. The event is organized by the local endurance group and race organizers.
Course and timing
The course is a 1 mile loop that begins and ends on the high school track and runs around the school parking lot. The loop is described as generally flat with some downhills. Participants may choose to run the loop in reverse; the reverse direction adds two hills. The course is currently open to traffic and is not certified. Chip timing is used; each participant wears a timing tag (ankle bracelet and shoe/bib tag) and must cross the timing mat for laps to be recorded. Relay teams pass the timing tag between teammates.
