Gobble Wobble Half Marathon and 5k - Williamson
The event features running and walking courses based at Southern WV Community and Technical College in Williamson, West Virginia. The route details for each distance are described below.
- Half Marathon: 13.1 Miles
- 5K run/walk: 3.1 Miles
- One Mile walk: 1 Mile
The half marathon starts at the community college, passes a neighborhood and a school, then follows a river path to Armory Road. The course continues onto US 52 toward Watertower Hill, enters US 119 North for 7.45 miles, then crosses traffic to return on US 119 South toward Fairview Addition and finishes back at the college. The half marathon crosses state lines and runs through both West Virginia and Kentucky.
The 5K follows the same initial neighborhood and river path section, emerges onto Armory Road and goes to a waterstop turnaround point, then returns to the community college without reusing the river path on the return.
The one mile walk is a down-and-back route that starts at the college, proceeds 0.5 mile out, and returns 0.5 mile back to the start.
