Conquer the Bluff
Conquer the Bluff is a community running event in Jacksboro, Tennessee, organized to raise funds for Campbell County High School scholarships through the Campbell County High School Relief Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization. The event begins and ends at a vacant lot on Eagle Bluff Road at the rear of the Eagle Gas and Food Market, 3070 Appalachian Highway.
Distances offered include:
- 4.2 miles timed course
- 4.1 miles high school students
- 4.2 miles virtual run or walk
Participants follow a route that heads toward the mountain from Eagle Bluff Road, turns right onto a gravel road, and uses a series of switchbacks to reach a trail to the top of Eagle Bluff. Runners reach an overlook where they turn around and return down the hill to the finish. The course covers just over four miles and gains approximately 930 feet in elevation. A photo opportunity is provided at the overlook.
Packet pickup is available on race day from 7:15 to 8:15 am. The event is part of the 2026 Campbell County Running Series, a sequence of local events intended to encourage outdoor activity in Campbell County. The Relief Fund has awarded scholarships since 2006 and plans to award additional scholarships in May. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
