Louie Bluie Rabbit Run 5K
The Louie Bluie Rabbit Run is staged at Cove Lake State Park in Caryville, Tennessee. The event program includes in-person and virtual options, a youth fun run, a wheelchair category, and a supporting entry for people who do not attend.
Distances:
- 5K Run 3.1 miles
- Kid's Fun Run/Walk 1 mile
- 5K Virtual Run Anywhere 3.1 miles
The 5K course is an out and back on the paved scenic trail within Cove Lake State Park. Light refreshments are provided after the race. Roller blades, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the 5K or 1 mile course; walkers are welcome. The course has a closure limit of 1 hour, 15 minutes.
Race packets distributed at the venue on race day include a bib, safety pins, and a t-shirt. Participants who register before March 15 are guaranteed a shirt; those who register on or after March 15 are not guaranteed requested sizes. Registration fees vary by entry type, for example the 5K entry fee is $30 and the Kid's Fun Run fee is $20. A virtual entry option allows participants to run any 5K course between March 27 and April 5 and asks participants to choose a course they consider safe and appropriate for their ability.
Proceeds support the Campbell Culture Coalition ArtReach program in local elementary schools and help cover artist costs for the Louie Bluie Festival. Awards are given by overall and age categories and must be claimed at the event; awards will not be mailed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
