Louie Bluie Rabbit Run 5K
The Louie Bluie Rabbit Run 5K is a multi-event running day staged at Cove Lake State Park in Caryville, TN. The program includes a 5K run, a Kid's Fun Run/Walk, a Sleeping But Supporting option, a 5K Virtual Run Anywhere event, and a wheelchair athlete category. The event is part of the Campbell County Race Series organized with Friends of Cove Lake.
Proceeds from the event support the Campbell Culture Coalition ArtReach program in local elementary schools and help cover costs for artists who perform at the annual Louie Bluie Festival at Cove Lake State Park. The Friends of Cove Lake list this race as the first in a seven-race series for the year.
Packet pick-up is available at the race venue. Participants in the 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk receive a bib, safety pins, and a t-shirt; shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed before March 15, while later registrants are not guaranteed their requested size. Awards are given by category, including Top 3 Overall M/F, Top Masters M/F, Top Grandmaster M/F, multiple age groups, and Largest Team; awards must be claimed at the event and will not be mailed.
The course is an out-and-back on the paved scenic trail at Cove Lake State Park. Light refreshments are provided after the race. Roller blades, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the 5K or 1 Mile course, and walkers are welcome. Virtual participants receive a race shirt that must be picked up at packet pick-up and are not eligible for awards. The event includes access to the RaceJoy mobile application for tracking and posting virtual results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
