Event Overview
The Connor's Way Scenic Memorial 5-Mile Run/Walk features events in both live and virtual formats. The main 5-mile course is a scenic wooded trail and seasonal roads in the foothills of the Adirondacks near Hinckley, New York.
Event Details
Three events are offered:
- 5 Mile (Live event)
- Virtual 5 Mile
- Kids Run (untimed, free for participants aged 12 and under)
All proceeds from the event support a memorial scholarship fund established in memory of Connor Arthur Lynskey, who aspired to be a physician. The fund provides scholarships for students and medical students, particularly those aiming to practice in underserved areas.
Race Day Information
For the live event, a free kids fun run starts first. A welcome ceremony precedes the main 5-mile run/walk. Awards are presented afterwards, where participants can collect medals. Parking is located in the village of Hinckley, with a shuttle bus available to the race start area.
Packet pick-up is available on the Friday before race day at Holland Patent High School. Registration for all events is online only; no paper or cash registrations are accepted.
A free shirt is included with registration for all events if registered by a specified early date. Registrations after that date are subject to limited shirt availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
